The first third of the course is the most technical and the hilliest. It is also the one that offers the most beautiful landscapes: a view over the Puy du Sancy on sunny days, a passage by the Diège and especially a descent overlooking the river. The rest of the route alternates between passages through the woods, beautiful forest tracks, and a few roads with little traffic. This circuit includes a shorter circuit (Picturesque Valleys - 13 km) and a longer route (Puy de Sabat - 32 km).
