Maison de Jean Petit
Originally from Le Boueix, Jean Petit (1810-1880), like many men from Creuse at the end of the 19th century, left as a stonemason with the Maçons de la Creuse. He is the author of the song that pays tribute to them.
Description
Take the main street in the direction of the church and continue to Les Vergnauds, keeping to the right.
Go around the stables by taking the path on the left and continue to the road.
Turn to the right and then take the first path on the left.
At the crossroads, turn to the right, go on alongside the buildings and then take two left turns to reach Margeleix.
Turn right, and at the 2nd intersection, continue to the right.
At the T-junction, turn right, go around the Etang de Montlivier and continue to Mourgoux.
At the edge of the village, take the path on the left as far as the road.
Turn right, and at the crossroads, cross over and take the path in front of you.
At the junction, go to the right, and, at the road, turn right to reach La Vergne.
As you leave the hamlet, take the path on the left and continue to Boueix.
Go through the village and take the road on the right to return to Les Vergnauds and then to the starting point.
