The village of Saint-Georges-Nigremont, perched on the Nigremont (Black Mountain) at an altitude of 746 m and at the end of a small, winding road, offers an exceptional panoramic view of the Crocq region and the Monts d'Auvergne from its orientation table.
Go for a walk around this village, a typical example of the expertise of the masons of the Creuse area. Its terraced gardens and panoramic views of the Monts d'Auvergne are worth a visit.

    Bakery

The bakery of the former presbytery, restored and very complete, with its oven, its bujadier (ancestor of the washing machine), and its vegetable garden cut in granite is characteristic of the know-how of the masons of the Creuse.

    Fontaine de Grancher

In this granite land where water flows everywhere, the fountains mark the village’s identity. Right up to the twentieth century, a tradition continues: that of giving a gift to the fountain every New Year’s Day to ensure its good flow.
